Interview:
 1. All of your books except for on anthology take place in the same universe, what book would you suggest reading first?
I'd start at the beginning with DON'T TELL. There is a chart on my website that shows all the books and how they interrelate. The characters appear in each others' books, so it's best to start at the beginning!
2. I see on your Goodreads page you mention going to a motivational speaker who suggested everyone should have a theme song for there life. Mine would be Glory Days by Bruce Springsteen. What would yours be?
THE DANCE, by Garth Brooks. There are a lot of things in my life that I might have chosen to avoid had I known how they'd turn out - but we're a composite of our experiences, good and bad. I love the line, "I might have missed the pain, but I would have missed the dance."
3. If you had to pick, which book of Nalini Singhs is your favorite?
Oh, that's a hard one because I love them all! If I have to pick, I'd say Archangel's Blade, Dmitri's story. I've read it several times now and each time is as thrilling and moving as the last.
4. Since you are best-selling author do you feel like there is more pressure to write a good book?
Oh, yes! I don't want to disappoint my readers. I want every book to be one they love.
5. Favorite toppings on a pizza?
Sadly, pepperoni. So bad for me, but so delicious!
6. What place would you like to go to that you haven't been able to yet?
The peak of Mt. Fuji. My dad climbed it when he was a young man and took some amazing photographs that I treasure. It's always been on my bucket list to see it for myself.
7. Weirdest question anybody has ever asked you? what was your answer?
Hard one … maybe this question :-)

Packing Heat 18+

The following review is for 18+ readers.

Packing Heat
4 of 5 stars false
Dark and brooding firefighter Brad Archer has spent months denying his attraction to his roommate, Police Officer Gavin Connolly. Gavin is just the kind of guy he likes, tall, tough and buff enough to actually handle Brad’s big size and rough nature.
To hide his real feelings Brad holds the handsome, seemingly straight cop at arms length until a shooting at work leaves Gavin a little too vulnerable to ignore. What starts out as a simple attempt to comfort his roommate blows up into something wild, sexual and wholly unexpected when Gavin wants more from Brad than a strong, firefighter’s shoulder to lean.
The sexual magnetism drawing the two of them together forces secrets to be revealed and though the sex is mind-blowing it may not be worth weathering the storms their relationship could stir up. In order to protect him Brad realizes he loves Gavin enough to let him go. The problem is—The stubborn cop may not let him.

Review

Phew!!This is how good m/m romance should be done, damn!!
I mean a sexy cop and a fully ripped fire fighter, does it get any hotter than that?
The story starts with Brad, trying to help Gavin his roommate, drink off a bad situation at work. Brad doesn't know that Gavin is gay but has secretly wanted him for ages. Gavin who is bi sexual, hasn't wanted to scare Brad away so he hasn't let on about his feelings concerning his hot firefighter roommate.
In his drunken state and in need of certain comforts ;) Gavin caves and finally admits to his feelings and desires.. what ensues is sexy, hot, emotional and hilarious in parts.
I couldn't help but fall in love with these two very alpha men. Brian with his guards up and Gavin with his easy going personality, they really were perfect for each other and their witty back and forth banter felt natural and flowed well.
Gavin huffed" I wasn't courting you".
"I think you were," Bread teased, feeling flattered nonetheless. "It's sort of like a straight man pretending to be gay in order to seem unthreatening and get into some woman's panties, only reversed---- and poorly executed. I'm definitely telling people about this"

For a short read, it was really well delivered.I could totally understand where the problems in their relationship came from. This story had feeling and depth and a certain scene that had me aching for Brian. Kele Moon had done a great job of packing a lot into something little and making it work. Very worthwhile.

Emma has met Mr. Right, but dotcom millionaire Daniel first has to learn how to let go before he can lead Emma out of her fear of the future and into the miracle of the moment.

 Review

****This book was part of a blog tour, I received a copy for my honest review****
This book starts out with a recap of the New Years Eve party from Emma’s pov. It is now July and Emma’s journalism schedule has kept her so busy she hasn't had time to find Mr. Right, she was also recently diagnosed with COPD. Daniel is busy with his company, but when he sees Emma he wants her. I really liked this book, Emma was smart and confident. Daniel was rich, handsome, down to earth and very understanding. They have strong connection that you can feel throughout the entire story. There was a conversation between Emma and Jessica, so we get to hear a little bit about what is going on with her. Daniel and Emma’s story was short, sweet and to the point, it didn't have a lot of long drawn out dramatic scenes. Deadline Romance is a good quick fluff read that is perfect for a relaxing day at the beach.

Shade must face treacheries in every crevice of the land, even among the human mortals and trusted allies, before all is lost.

Excerpt

“Open the door, Stanis,” Shade hissed. “We’re through here.”
“Just a minute, princess. I have bone to pick with you.” He tapped the wall and moved so fast, only a blur appeared where he had stood. He was in the kitchen now and pulled out a small, blue glass bowl. Bringing it to her, he held it out toward Shade, pushing her to take it. When she did, he resumed his position on the creaky chair, motioning her to sit back on the couch. “Please, sit.”
“I’d rather stand.”
He groaned, rolling his head on his shoulders, his long brown hair spilled over the back of the chair as he did that. He looked like a drunk slumped in the chair, almost falling off the edge.
“Suite yourself, changeling. But I highly suggest you sit. There are more ways than one to use magic, even bound up as you are.” His wild eyes seemed more sober now and she felt a sudden urge to sit as told. The suspicion she felt that he was using magic on her was eating at her nerves. She hated being played, and he seemed a master at that.
“What do you mean, more ways?” She settled between Soap and Dylan and held the bowl out. It was small enough to fit in her palm.
“This is a Pith. It extracts your essence, therefore, your powers are given a release through this bowl. Even in your case, one’s powers cannot be completely contained, as one can never truly trap a mind. This Pith provides another route, another path for your magic to escape your body and work its powers. We’re only trapped by the binds we allow to be placed upon ourselves. This breaks through that. It will let you use your water magic, as if you’d never been bound.”
The others gasped, staring in wonderment at the ordinary blue glass bowl sitting in her palm. It seemed utterly mundane, no etchings on its hard surface, nothing to condone its powerful use. She wondered if he was pulling her leg or not. But it was worth a try.
“One drop into the bowl, Shade. That’s all it takes.” He gestured quickly, to make her move faster. She gulped, mesmerized by the glass. She silently prayed that it would work, if not, they were doomed. No, she was doomed.

After The Ending

After the Ending
Lindsey Fairleigh and Lindsey Pogue
Sci-Fi / Dystopian
Date Published: 2/22/13

The Virus spread. Billions died. The Ending began. We may have survived the apocalypse, but the Virus changed us.

When people started getting sick, “they” thought it was just the flu. My roommate, my boyfriend, my family…they’re all gone now. I got sick too. I should have died with them—with the rest of the world—but I didn’t. I thought witnessing the human population almost disappear off the face of the earth was the craziest thing I’d ever experience. I was so wrong. My name is Dani O’Connor, I’m twenty-six-years-old, and I survived The Ending.

The Virus changed everything. The world I knew is gone, and life is backwards. We’ve all had to start over. I’ve been stripped of my home, my dreams…all that is me. I’m someone else now— broken and changed. Other survivors’ memories and emotions haunt me. They invade my mind until I can no longer separate them from my own. I won’t let them consume me. I can’t. My name is Zoe Cartwright, I’m twenty-six-years-old, and I survived The Ending.

We’ve been inseparable for most of our lives, and now our friendship is all we have left. The aftermath of the Virus has stranded us on opposite sides of the United States. Trusting strangers, making sacrifices, killing—we’ll do anything to reach one another. Fear and pain may be unavoidable, but we’re strong…we’re survivors. But to continue surviving in this unfamiliar world plagued by Crazies and strange new abilities, we have to adapt. We have to evolve.

EXCERPT

Looking around apprehensively, I made my way toward the convenience store in hopes of finding a bathroom. The vacant world around me was eerily silent. All I could hear was the creaking of a giant wooden billboard being assaulted by the wind. How long has it been since anyone was here? Through the dark windows I saw a bathroom sign that looked promising, but I couldn’t bring myself to enter. I wonder if it’s safe…

As I stood outside of the store, I noticed a newspaper box still filled with papers. I leaned closer. The headline read, BILLIONS DEAD, and the paper was dated December 9, right before everything had started to shut down. I inserted a quarter and snatched out a paper. Scanning its contents, my mouth grew dry and my body stiffened.

…the H1N1/12 pandemic…
…looting and riotous outbreaks everywhere…
…end of civilization as we know it…
…survivors losing their minds…
…governments can’t control…
…the Apocalypse…

The newspaper slipped from between my fingers. Frozen in place, I was suffocated by the reality of our situation.
This isn’t going away.
The world ended. Thinking of the strange feelings I’d been experiencing, I once again questioned my own sanity. My thoughts were too loud to silence. My heart thudded, and I couldn’t swallow the lump in my throat. Looking out into the abandoned world around me, I realized how alone we really were. I bent down to reclaim the paper and turned on my heels to head back toward the truck, completely awestruck as the words I’d read replayed in my mind. Each was a reminder that the only world I’d ever known had ended.

Author Bio:

Lindsey Fairleigh lives her life with one foot in a book—as long as that book transports her to a magical world or bends the rules of science. Her novels, from post-apocalyptic to time travel and historical fantasy, always offer up a hearty dose of unreality, along with plenty of adventure and romance. When she’s not working on her next novel, Lindsey spends her time reading and trying out new recipes in the kitchen. She lives in the Napa Valley with her loving husband and confused cats.

Lindsey Pogue has always been a little creative. As a child she established a bug hospital on her elementary school soccer field, compiled books of collages as a teenager, and as an adult, expresses herself through writing. Her novels are inspired by her observations of the world around her—whether she’s traveling, people watching, or hiking. When not plotting her next storyline or dreaming up new, brooding characters, Lindsey’s wrapped in blankets watching her favorite action flicks or going on road trips with her own leading man.

A Kiss for Luck 18 +

The following review is for 18+ readers.
A Kiss for Luck
4 of 5 stars false
Dr. Clara Evans' life has taken a turn for the worse. With a failed marriage behind her, Clara has only a bottle of wine and a romance novel for company on New Year's Eve while waiting for the dreadful year to end.Her lonely celebration is disrupted when her best friend Jackson Philips shows up and she couldn't be more delighted. Tall, muscular and handsome, what's not to love about the bighearted firefighter? It's not until she steals a desperately needed kiss for luck at midnight that secret desires and hidden heartaches rise to the surface, igniting an inferno of passion that burns hot enough to overwhelm even the most seasoned firefighter.

Review

This was a super hot and sexy with a good pinch of sweet, perfect.
This is the story of Clara and Jackson and how one kiss, and some good lovin, leads to their happily ever after.
Clara, who is moping at home alone with a bottle of wine on New Years Eve, is pleasantly surprised when Jackson ,her best friend, gets home early from his double shift. A New Years Kiss between the two unleashes secret longings and desires....
A Kiss for Luck is a super quick read but I didn't feel that lacked anything at all. I felt the emotions and uncertainties and understood both characters unwillingness to compromise a beautiful friendship. Both Clara and Jacksons personalities were well developed for a novella and the passion and chemistry zinging between the two was hot. This is how a quick steamy read should be done, loved every minute of it.

Mercy Bound 18+

The following review is for 18+ readers.

Mercy Bound
4 of 5 stars false
Despite wanting her forever, Dray has vowed to protect Mercy, even from himself. Then his mating heat is triggered, leaving only two choices—fuck or die. And luscious Mercy is suitably equipped—and determined—to save him.

 Review

This was a really quick read from author Kele Moon. I enjoyed it, especially when I had just read a ton of heavy reads, this was a welcome change.
Mercy, Dray and his brother Conrad have known each other most of their lives.
Conrad and Dray are Atlantan warriors and were adopted by Mercy's father when their own parents were killed. Atlantan warriors seem to be from a different planet and are a different genetic makeup from humans, though look mostly human.
Mercy is human and has been in love with Dray for as long as she can remember. Dray has also felt that Mercy was his mate, but because of a promise he made to her father feels he can never act on his feelings without breaking that promise.
Things change when Dray is injured and the medicine that the doctor administers to him throws him into heat, and with no other female around other than Mercy, his choices are limited, mate or die.
This is a enjoyable, steamy, little read. I had enough information and storyline, but really this is a book based around sex and love, but mostly sex. I have absolutely no complaints in that, in fact sometimes that is exactly what you need. The characters were good and Mercy with her no nonsense attitude really stole the show for me.
I am giving it 4 stars because it was exactly what I needed.

The Viscount's Pleasure House 18+

The following review is for 18+ readers.
The Viscount’s Pleasure House
3 of 5 stars false
Lady Chrissie Wellsby and her two country friends research dozens of rogues before selecting the notorious Viscount Hawkesbury, owner of London’s most exclusive and expensive brothel, to educate them in erotic seduction. The ladies abandon respectability and coerce Justin Tremayne into letting them visit The Pleasure House and to teaching them the sensual tricks mistresses and prostitutes use to entertain men.
Though Justin believes three naive ladies will see the debauched romps in his themed rooms, cover their eyes and ears, and run back to their sheltered lives, he underestimates the desperation of abandoned women who imagine a wider knowledge of sex will keep the men in their lives at home, in their own beds. But despite watching several of their friends, men and women, perform raunchy acts at his brothel, the ladies insist on participating in the last of Justin’s infamous Sultan’s galas, held in numerous silk tents and outdoor bathing areas on his estate.
Justin concedes to Chrissie’s demands only to gain information about his long-lost mother and sisters, but the world-weary viscount falls head over heels in love with his emotionally bruised pupil. He yearns for a wife, children, and an uncomplicated wife, but can he convinced Chrissie to take a chance and marry again? Because Justin never wants to leave her bed.

Review

****This book was part of a blog tour, I received a copy for my honest review****
The Viscount's Pleasure house was a very enjoyable read. It was nice to venture back to my historical romance roots and get down to the nitty gritty of things.
That's to say that this is not your average historical romance, it took it that one step forward into erotic.
The idea of three woman from the upper crust of society confronting a known brothel owner to instruct them into the ways of the sensual arts was interesting. I always felt that the woman back then would have extreme problems relaxing into having relations with their partners. Espcially with the famed saying "Shut your eyes and think of England". So having these woman seek out this information to keep there husbands, current or future, interested in them was and interesting plotline.
The Viscount's Pleasure House was a voyeuristic dream and education. Even I was all a flutter at what I was reading and the "scenes" and ideas that the Virile Viscount came up with to "instruct" the ladies. Although he was trying to shock them out of their own crazy idea.
I enjoyed the characters and their humour. Chrissie our heroine, had a spunkiness about her and her sexual awakening was made all the better by what she had to overcome in her past. Justin was a delicious hero, who had amazing knowledge of what people like in the bedroom, (ha, I told you this is an erotic book, yes?)
Both the main characters had amazingly caring hearts and were extremely loyal to their friends. Although Justin sees himself as despicable and unlovable and Chrissie unable to hold a man, they both find themselves completely drawn to each other.Seeing in the other what they themselves can't see. It is a lovely healing through love book.
The back story was a little bit weaker than I would normally like, but to me the book was very much character based, so I cared more about what was going on with them now. I just enjoyed the banter between the characters to much and wanted them all to have a sexy, happily ever after. The secondary characters are also very enjoyable. The ladies Anna and Gillian, along with Chrissie lead these men on a merry chase and that always makes good reading.
This was a solid read for me. I will be looking out for more of Suzi Love in the future.

As if in slow motion, the world spun. The front fender of the truck slammed into us from behind, and everything lurched forward. Bags, arms, clothes, sailed by my head. The muffled sound of screams were lost somewhere in a tumultuous roar as the van hit a pothole, and we began to roll. Corporate Affair 18+

The following review is for 18+ readers.
4 of 5 stars false
A smart, sexy entrepreneur. A wealthy, arrogant ladies’ man set on purchasing her company. And a hotbed of chemistry neither one of them anticipated.
Aiden Stewart is just going through the motions of running the family business, a mega communications company snapping up all the competition. His trip to a tiny New England town to negotiate the purchase of ChatDotCom is nothing more than an interruption in his plans for his next female conquest. The last thing he expects is for Chat’s CEO M. Jordan Fitzgerald to be a woman who takes his breath away.
Jordan is focused on business, not romance. She’s got too much at stake, working to protect Chat’s employees, as well as making sure her family is taken care of. Falling in love is not part of the business plan, but resisting the man she really should not want is proving impossible.
When a rival wants to take over Chat too, Jordan struggles to keep her personal life from affecting the business deal. With secrets that could ruin everything, she has to decide if she can balance business with pleasure.

Linda Cunningham introduces hot new characters in her second Small Town novel, a steamy office romance set in idyllic Clark’s Corner, Vermont.

Review

****This book was part of a blog tour, I received a copy for my honest review****
Aiden is a spoiled rich playboy who works for his families company. He goes to purchase a company and meets Jordan. What he thought was going to be an easy buy out turns into something completely different. Jordan has secrets, she needs her job and when another company tries to take over her company she has to learn to trust Aiden or both of them will end up losing. Jordan is a strong woman, she has worked hard to get where she is, and she is also a single mother. Aiden started out as a player with selfish tendencies and entitled attitude, by the end of the book I loved the guy. The two of them had strong chemistry and I really liked how Aiden refused to give up on his relationship with Jordan. The people from the small town were warm, welcoming and took care of each other. There were some conflicts in the story which ultimately brought the two main characters closer together. The writing was good, there was a bit of mystery to it that kept me interested. This book was good and I really enjoyed reading it.

Russian Dolls

Russian Dolls
By Cristelle Comby
New Adult - Mystery&Detective
Date Published:3/13/2013

Alexandra Neve is a student at University College London whose world suddenly falls apart. When her best friend jumps from the university’s rooftop, she can’t stop herself from asking, ‘Why?’ The police rule her friend’s death a suicide and for them the case is closed — so whom can she turn to for help?

Sometimes the person you need the most is the one you least expect to find, and in this case it’s none other than Ashford Egan, a blind middle-aged history professor, who’s more willing than most to listen to what she has to say.

Neve and Egan are as different as they come. She’s restless, careless at times, and fearless when the need arises, while he’s almost the complete opposite: a deep thinker with an analytical mind, a highly rational and collected individual.

As they enter the violent world of the Russian mafia, they must overcome their differences and learn to work together. It’s their only chance if they want to survive.

EXCERPT

I don’t find much more information on Anthony Anderson and eventually stop researching for lack of interesting leads. I spend Monday morning tailing him, instead. I leave the flat at the crack of dawn in my mother’s old blue Fiat Punto and drive all the way up to the Andersons’, my camera on the passenger seat.
I park a little farther up the road, turn off the engine and check the camera. Mr Anderson’s dark Mercedes passes me, at six thirty. I snap two pictures, before turning on the ignition and following him at a reasonable distance.
He goes straight to work and disappears in an underground car park that requires an ID card.
I open the car door and move to the boot. I reach down for one of my short winter duffle jackets and a black cap. I shrug both on and then grab a small parcel, before closing the boot and walking to the Credit Suisse building.
I force myself to walk in as casually as I can, and approach the reception with a look I hope is confident.
‘Morning,’ I say to the young man at the desk. ‘Urgent delivery for Anthony Anderson.’
The young lad narrows his eyes on the parcel and then looks me up and down. I square my jaw. Time to see whether my plan’s going to work.
I pinned a badge on my chest. I made it up on my laptop, with a fake logistic company name and logo, and my name and picture. The cap on my head bears the same logo. It’s actually one of my old white caps that I craftily hand-painted last night.
‘Sure,’ the man says with an easy smile. ‘Leave it here; I’ll see that it’s delivered with the morning mail.’
‘Sorry, but it’s hand delivery only.’ I shrug apologetically.
‘Fine.’ The man motions to one of the men minding the elevator. ‘He’ll escort you.’
That’s not what I had planned. I smile nonetheless and follow the bulky man through the lobby.
The elevator doors close after us and I stand immobile in a corner. Porca vacca, Lexa! Why didn’t you think it through? I’ve been too hasty again. How could I think that they would just let me wander the hallways on my own? My cover will be blown if Anderson catches sight of me, and there I am, being escorted straight to him. Way to go, Lexa!
My escort takes me to an office and we stop in front of a secretary.
‘Parcel for Mr Anderson,’ I tell her, fighting hard to prevent my voice from quivering.
He has to be here, just behind the large wooden doors that bear his name. She’s going to call him and he’ll come right out and see me and then it’ll be goodnight Vienna!

Unbroken

Sneak Peek...
“So, you own the bar now?” I say, “That’s great. Why didn’t you say?”

Emerson gives me a measured look. “You didn’t ask.”

I stop. How is this my fault? “Yeah, well I didn’t exactly have time, what with you pummeling a guy, pretending like you were going to make out with me, then judging every one of my life choices.”

My reply whips out before I can stop it. I clamp my hand over my mouth, and stare at the shocked expression on Emerson’s face. He so wasn’t expecting that! But why the hell shouldn’t I say it? It’s the truth, after all. I let out a giggle, unable to stop myself.

His expression changes.

“You’re drunk.” He says shortly.

I shrug, defensive. “So what if I am?”

“You never could hold your liquor.” He shakes his head, and takes another gulp of his beer. “I wonder, what else has changed…?” Emerson’s mouth curves into a lascivious smile. “You still make that breathy noise when you come?”

I gasp, shocked. “Fuck you!”

“Already been there, darlin’.”
