Review
Mary Grace faked hers and her sons’ death to get
away from her abusive cop husband. She reinvented herself as Caroline Stewart;
her life has been focused on working and taking care of her son, until she
meets Max. Max was hired to take over for the professor who was Caroline’s
mentor and now Max is her boss. The two of them are attracted to each other,
however Caroline is scared and isn't ready to have a relationship. Max has
demons of his own, he used to be a successful basketball player until and
accident mangles his body. He still hasn't come to terms with losing everything
he had and the limp he still has.
While Caroline and Max are dealing with this,
her ex-husband has found out the Mary Grace is still alive and he wants his son
back. Rob goes on a murder spree to find them and the SBI is now on the hunt
for him. The book switches between these three stories until all three of them
collide. This book was really good, the characters were well developed, and
they were realistic with great personalities. While the book switches between
the three stories it is easy to follow and there is no confusion. The writing
is done well; the suspense in the story adds a sense of danger that keeps you
guessing. When the stories do finally come together it is done in a cohesive
manner that seamlessly blends. The sex scenes are good but they are not drawn
out and are not the focus of the book. Don't Tell is a great romantic suspense
novel and I can't wait to read another book by this author.
