Thunderstruck 18+

The following review is for 18+ readers.
ThunderStruck
3 of 5 stars false 1/2 stars
Desperate to distance herself from her previous life, and her high-powered ex, Jo Montgomery moves to a tiny slice of Georgia, an impetuous decision if there ever was one. Though not nearly as impetuous as throwing herself into an intimate relationship with her new neighbour. Hawk Stephens, a horse breeder and local celebrity, is sex personified, a man built for dark deeds in dark places. But he wants far more from Jo.
Every instinct tells Silent Hawk that Jo is The One, and despite her obvious uncertainty, his Apache beliefs give him faith. The signs are unmistakable. His skittish little filly requires a strong hand, patience…and blazing, mind-bending sex that leaves no doubt to his feelings and intentions.
But before their love affair has barely begun, the re-emergence of Jo’s ex, coupled with a potentially tragic event, forces Jo to make decisions that not only damage Hawk’s beliefs, but could also shatter their tender romance beyond repair.

Review

The cover and the blurb of this book really did a great job of drawing my attention to what was a highly enjoyable book.
Thunderstruck is a quick romance, but a good one.
Jo is running away from an ex husband and a family with problems that could make her private life very, very public.
Hawke is a man who is impatiently waiting for "the one". He is also a man who believes in the signs of mother nature, so when he meets Jo, his new neighbour, he not only has an immediate attraction to her, he knows that she is what he has been waiting for. He is full of a protective instinct and understanding for Jo.
Jo's skittish nature slow down their attraction and inevitable connection, but not in a bad way. I liked her character. I also really liked Hawke, but his character was maybe a bit too forward at times.
This was a great quick romance story, steamy enough, but not overboard. Very enjoyable, I will look out for others from Kendall Grace.
