The bonding has begun...

 Review

****The author via NetGalley provided me with a complimentary copy for my honest review****
Mia's Return is the second novella in the Destiny's Trinities series.
Mia has always loved Alexander, fantasized about his touch even before she was experienced enough to be touched. Alexander always kept his distance, Mia was too good for him. He got himself wrapped up in the criminal games that would put her at too much risk. Not to mention, her brother would have him killed for touching her. When his criminal working catch up to him, Mia gets the news that Alexander has been killed, so why is she seeing him 10 years later in a crowded elevator? Her life is further changed when she meets a mysterious, handsome and scarred man named Wyatt who reveals Alexander's secrets, and has an important role to play of his own.
Mia's return is much better than the first one. I really feel strongly that these novellas would be so much better if they weren't so rushed. The bonding is rushed, the sex is rushed, the action and fact finding is rushed. There is just too much story to cram onto so few pages. Luckily my problem with not enough character development in the first one wasn't as bad here, there was more focus on the characters since the world building was already established. The other characters are all fun but so so for me, however I loved Wyatt. Unfortunately, we didn't meet him till 50% in but he is by far my favorite character. The story is an interesting one, a creative world of trinities and a war brewing but the dialogue and actions sometime feel cheesy. The writing bothered me because it would transition from choppy, almost reading like a manual to elaborate and almost like it was written in another time. I definitely enjoyed this one more than the first. I was really hoping to love these since the genre fits me perfectly.

"FilthyBlueBird" thinks she can tease me with hashtags and then hide behind a Twitter handle? She thinks I wouldn't be more than happy to #RockHerFilthyWorld? She's wrong.
Her online fantasy is about to collide with her public reality, and it's about to happen... now

Grace Kinsella hides behind the handle @FilthyBlueBird to do what she secretly wishes she could do in person, sling dirty one liners at her movie star god Vaughn Asher, a man as untouchable as he is gorgeous. Things are safe behind a semi anonymous online profile and a hashtag. Until a vacation with her best friends lands her face to face with non other than the real @VaughnAsher. Well, everything's safe as long as he doesn't figure out her secret...
I am so glad I read this one so close to the release of #2 because I was hooked instantly! Fun, sexy and hysterical this novella promises to be a favorite and worth the short wait in between. Vaughn and Grace compliment each other beautifully and I loved seeing the confident man bring her out of her shell. Grace promises to be one of those strong female MCs that you can get behind as we watch her grow. What can I say about Vaughn other than that mouth? Wow, he's delicious and adventurous and we're just starting to delve into him. I have a strong feeling Grace is going to put his world off it's axis. The writing flew by like it was meant to be devoured. There were side characters to add to the story but to be honest I only had eyes for Grace & Vaughn. Give me more!

Beg (Songs of Submission #1)

Goodreads AmazonKobo
Beg (Songs of Submission, #1)

This novella is the first in a series
My name is Monica. I’m a singer born and raised in Los Angeles.
I’ve stopped dating. When I cut a record, or win a Grammy, maybe then I’ll be with someone, but every man in my past has done everything he could to make me submit myself to him, and it’s gotten in the way of my career. I won’t do it again.
But there’s Jonathan. He owns the high-rise hotel where I work, and he is gorgeous and charming. I refuse to fall in love with him, even though when he asks me to submit to him, I want nothing more.
****GRAPHIC LANGUAGE, SEX, AND ADULT SITUATIONS****

Review

**** eXcessica Publishing, via NetGalleyprovided me with a complimentary copy of this book for my honest review****
Monica is a waitress. Actually, she's a struggling musician that dreams of taking the world by storm with her voice and band Spoken not Stirred, but until then she's slinging cocktails to the rich and infamous. A clumsy chance encounter with her gorgeous boss ends up with her leaving unemployed and full of new fantasies featuring the billionaire Jonathan. Jonathan isn't a permanent guy since his x wife broke his heart, a wound that won't seem to heal. However, he is a tonight kind of guy who has his eye on Monica, the pretty waitress who spilled a drink on his lap. He left her with a firm knowledge of his interest and referral to his friend's hotel for a new job, one he plans on seeing her at during his frequent visits. And he's not the hands off type of guy...
While Beg isn't the most-original story concept on the market, I have to give kudos to the author for writing it well. Instead of getting frustrated with the same thing, I found myself easily falling into the story and these characters, enjoying the smooth world building and intriguing people. While not essential to the story, I can't be the only reader that loves that he's a ginger! In a world of either dark and brooding (which I love regardless of my excitement for something different) or the sexy blond surfer, it was nice for a hero that was gorgeous, yes, but a little different. The stereotypical well built billionaire, but I loved creating a new character with more unique features in my head, and something so small gave the book an additional little bit of a fresh twist to get me interested. The whole novella series thing drives me insane, it seemed to end right as you were getting into it, but at least ends at a spot where if you can't start the next one you're not screaming. This is definitely a series I will continue.

Window

 Window (Paris Secrets, #1)
4 of 5 stars false
WINDOW
An erotic romance behind glass
The first time she sees her new neighbor, his sexy smile arouses her curiosity -- and her desires. His hard, chiseled muscles and playful invitations are irresistible.
Bared before their windows, framed and displayed above the streets of Paris, they embark upon a provocative affair.
Their daring game of exhibitionism lures her back for more and more, and she quickly realizes he is the man she has dreamed about.
Yet she's never heard his voice. Never felt his touch. Never thought she'd experience something this exquisite.
Or this bold...
Paris Secrets
Do you dare?

Review

****I received an ARC of this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review*****
Window is a deeply erotic story in a world all it's own. Michele Renae has taken the every day erotica and bent it to her will. The story follows a girl who moved to Paris from America and her sexy new neighbor. They don't know each other's names, where they're from, or even each other's names. In fact, they've never spoken, never officially met, but they have a connection. Across the buildings where they have an almost exclusive view of the other, they start a unique relationship. One filled with voyeurism, steamy dreams, and distracting fantasies. It starts with flirting after an innocent experience. What progresses is a journey she never thought she'd be headed on.
Window was an amazing journey, one that completely grabbed me. It was so sexy without actual sex. This author has gotten on my radar as well as the series. What a ride, the writing was thought provoking and beautiful. The characters were addictive even though we haven't been introduced. Even with the short length the world is thorough and colorful, making you feel like you've been to Paris yourself. What an amazing debut!

When the killer is found dead, everyone thinks the danger is over. Then Danisa finds evidence someone else is behind the murder, and their lives tailspin. Can the men reach her in time before she’s killed, too?

Review

****Season Publishing through NetGalley provided me with a copy of this book for my honest review****
Freedom to Submit is the story of Danisa Milan, Brady Braxson and Lucas Holt. Danisa finds herself back in her home town and starting up her own surveillance business with her 2 college roommates. When she takes a job following a business man who seems to be stepping out on his wife, she never bargained she'd be a witness to a murder or that the murder would be after her next to clean up loose ends. Sheriff Brady Braxson is called to the scene of a shooting where the witness is none other than Danisa, a girl he went to high school with but hasn't seen in years. When the girls are released from the scene and drive home, the killer comes after them leaving Brady unwilling to let Danisa unprotected and making plans to protect her in his own home. Danisa can't believe she's going to the home of the man she was in love with in high school, and she can't believe her luck when she meets his gorgeous roommate and owner of the ranch, Lucas Holt. After a few steamy encounters and learning they are looking for a future with a woman they can share, Danisa has to choose if she's willing to change her vision of her HEA, and can handle the restraints and whips that go with it.
I love menage, I love BDSM, and I love romantic suspense. Winner right? Well, it was and it wasn't. Being a novella I have to say we still got a decent story and you didn't feel robbed when you were done, however, it wasn't a home run for me. The characters were great but I had a problem with the BDSM, it wasn't genuine and was rushed. Danisa just meets Lucas and already she's calling him Sir, Brady Master and "submitting". Nothing felt real, it just felt like they were using titles to be kinky. It was still steamy but none of it felt real. The sex was still steamy even though terms like "weeping hole" sound more like an ailment than a turn on (don't worry, it wasn't all like that, just a few terms that gave me chills snuck in). The suspense with the murderer and mystery was intense in the beginning but then fell flat by the second half and just kind of ended and left the reader saying oh, that's it? The writing was entertaining though and smooth. All in all it set up for a fun series that I will come back to.

Hers to Cherish

Links: Goodreads Amazon
Hers To Cherish (Verdantia #3)
4 of 5 stars false
When Ramsey DeKieran, disgraced nobleman and accused murderer, was offered a pardon Ram knew there'd be a catch. The High Lord of Verdantia offered him a clean slate in exchange for the off-world rescue of a Verdantian noblewoman – a suicide mission that had already cost the lives of good men. The one redeeming feature was the assistance of the stunning captain of Verdantia’s elite mercenary team.
For Captain Steffania Rickard, assisting DeKieran in the rescue of a woman critical to the future of Verdantia would be difficult enough. The rouge tripped all her triggers – good and bad. Infinitely worse, to fit into the culture of Vxloncia, she must pose as Ram's sex slave. The sexually dominant Ramsey was nothing if not perceptive and Steffania doubts her carefully disguised and deeply hidden desires will remain concealed.
Their mission takes on new meaning when they unmask a heinous program of enslavement, long cloaked in secrecy. Together they must find a way to overcome their initial animosity and recover a woman vital to the future of their race. Together, they would have to bring a malicious entity to justice.
In the maelstrom of sex, savagery, domination and submission, Ram and Steffania will need all their wits and strength to survive.

Review

****I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review****
Hers to Cherish is the third installment in the Verdantia series and my first venture into it. This book can definitely be read as a stand alone.
The story was fast paced and beautifully transitioned full of surprisingly deep and well developed characters. It was full of a unique world that holds your interest and immerses you in the details. I loved the twists and turns, the smoking hot sex, and the creativity that went into the world building. The chemistry is there in swarms between the main characters Ramsey and Steffania and it was a ride to watch them grow as characters. There is a very light BDSM element to the sex but nothing beyond fluffy play and a type of shibari.

Real (Real #1)

Real (Real, #1)
 4 of 5 stars false1/2
 A fallen boxer.
A woman with a broken dream.
A competition…
He even makes me forget my name. One night was all it took, and I forgot everything and anything except the sexy fighter in the ring who sets my mind ablaze and my body on fire with wanting…
Remington Tate is the strongest, most confusing man I’ve ever met in my life.
He’s the star of the dangerous underground fighting circuit, and I’m drawn to him as I’ve never been drawn to anything in my life. I forget who I am, what I want, with just one look from him. When he’s near, I need to remind myself that I am strong–but he is stronger. And now it’s my job to keep his body working like a perfect machine, his taut muscles primed and ready to break the bones of his next opponents . . .
But the one he’s most threatening to, now, is me.
I want him. I want him without fear. Without reservations.
If only I knew for sure what it is that he wants from me?

Review

****I received an arc of this book through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review ****
This isn't your typical girl meet boys story. Remington Tate is possessive, he's jealous, he's outrageously alpha and not afraid to go after what he wants. He's been kicked down by so many people in his life that he holds few in his heart. Kicked out of the professional ring, he's determined to make the best out of his position in the underground circuit where he's in line to be champion. It's during a fight that he spots her, Brooke Dumas. A girl who has had her hopes and dreams of becoming an Olympic sprinter dashed when she destroys her knee and has pursued a career in sports rehab. And of course all caught and critiqued on youtube. She's not a fan of violence, she's shy and wouldn't even be at the fight if not for her best friend dragging her out. That doesn't stop her from staring at the man in the ring. Handsome and sure of himself he has an aura that she's never felt or seen before, but when she's set up to meet at his hotel room she's surprised when she's offered a job instead of a hot night of steamy sex. With no real prospects in sight fresh out of school and the great things this chance can do for her career and reputation, she decides to take it. However, physical attraction isn't the hardest thing she has to fight when she's traveling with the group. Learning the real Remy that few get to see, Brooke finds she has to fight her feelings for a man who's more broken than she ever imagined, while Remy has to deal with emotions he's never had before in an already volatile mind.
Real was everything everyone's been raving all over Goodreads about. It's emotional and heartbreaking. Remy was way more complex than I ever gave him credit for in the beginning. I thought he was going to be a typical alpha showy character when in fact he had so many secrets that I never saw coming. Brooke is a strong character, not the kind that cowers easily and not afraid to go after what she wants. I loved that since Remy had a hard time expressing his emotions, Brooke and he developed the song choices where they would play songs for each other on their ipods while traveling. It added another layer to these characters and more emotion. I did get sick of hearing how "achy and swollen" Brooke was for Remy before he finally gave in and quit fighting their attraction. I can't wait for Mine, there is so much story left to tell!

Forceful Negotiations (Carmine Club, #1) 18+

The following review is for 18+ readers.

Forceful Negotiations (Carmine Club, #1)
3 of 5 stars false
Why would a former beauty queen and ex-wife of a billionaire become a pimp? Sending the demigod of lust, Eros, to find out why Willa Davis Seachrist is running a secret sex club seems like the solution to Saint Peter’s problems.
Teague Tillis comes to Carmine House in search of a man to make her fantasies come true. When former prosecutor Cam Calloway wins the bid for Teague, her fantasy challenges everything he believes, but if he can't satisfy her, conniving Willa will offer her to his nemesis.
Welcome to Carmine Club. The cost to join is a price you've already paid.

Review

****I was given a copy of this book through NetGalley for my honest review****
Warning: This book contains graphic scenes depicting consensual rape fantasies and public sex acts.
Teague Tillis is about to have her fantasy come true. She's always had these desires she's been taught by society to be ashamed of, to hide from the lovers in her life because it's taboo. Taking control she accepts her best friend's offer to be auctioned off as part of her aunt's venture known as Carmichael club. The twist? The man who wins Teague at the auction has to act out her fantasy.
Cam Calloway is fascinated with the blonde in the silver mask. He may not be able to see her face but something about her draws him to her, she's the only one he touches, the only one he's interested in bidding on. Beginner's luck or fate that his number gets chosen out of the winning bidders?
However, once he reads her fantasy can the guy who's always lost the girl due to being the "nice guy" and who used to make a living putting men that do the same thing behind bars, give her what she needs? Add a humorous Eros(cupid) who has been sent to earth to help Willa, Carmichael club's founder and it becomes an interesting start to a series with loads of potential.
In general this book was interesting but parts felt random, the flow of the writing could have improved. The whole Eros (cupid) element felt just there to lead into the rest of the series, causing you to scratch your head. There wasn't a ton of story but the characters were well developed. I will pick up the next book in the series, but it won't be something I can't live without.

Tempted by Two 18+

The following review is for 18+ readers.
Tempted by Two
3 of 5 stars false
When executive woman Katie Warren arrives in the picturesque village of Little Marplethorpe for a country holiday, to reassess her life and her future, she doesn't bargain on ending up in a hot three way love affair with a man she's admired from afar... and his gorgeously handsome male partner.
Marcus Dane and Owen Foster are lovers, committed for a lifetime, but they both enjoy the company of women as friends and bedmates too. Encountering Katie at an exhibition of his work, Marcus knows she's just the kind of bold, daring, imaginative woman who'll relish sharing erotic games with Owen and himself.
But what none of the trio expect is that their intense, steamy threesome will quickly deepen into a bond that's a lot more than just simply fabulous sex.

Reviews

****NetGalley gave me a copy of this book for my honest review****
Katie Warren needs a break. While on a much needed vacation, she visits the art gallery of one of her favorite artists, Marcus Dane, only to run into the man while there. Add his lover Owen Foster and Katie's in for a vacation she will surely remember.
I'm a little disappointed by this book. It was good but it lacked something for me. I am a complete sucker for M/M/F and was extremely excited, but I just didn't love it or the characters. It is a very sexy short read though, filled with steamy sex and a surprising connection between the characters. I will say that most of my reviews of short books I rant and rave about things being rushed, but I didn't feel that with this one, the delivery was well done.

Bonds of Desire 18+

The following review is for 18+ readers.

Goodreads Amazon B&N
Bonds of Desire (Wicked Play, #3)
 4 of 5 stars false
Book three of Wicked Play
Lawyer Allison English never planned to return to The Den—despite her naughty fantasies about being bound by owner Seth Matthews. But when club guest Tyler Wysong is injured in a scene, Seth turns to Allie for help. Aroused by both men, Allie should turn the case down. But she can't…
After his bad experience, Tyler has no interest in being with another Dom. Yet he can't deny his attraction to Master Seth. When Seth offers him a place to stay, Tyler agrees—if Allie will stay too. But what good is a chaperone who adds to his temptation?
Living with two subs brings out Seth's protective instincts, though Allie insists she's not into the lifestyle, and Tyler swears he's done with it. But the chemistry between the trio prompts them to agree to submit to him for one week, and he'll show them both the true pleasure that a Dom can provide.
The intimacy could break them all, or bind them together forever.

Review

****Carina Press through NetGalley gave me a copy of this book for my honest review****
Seth Matthews, Master Seth as he's known at The Den, thinks the day is just like any other. That is until he sees something that disturbs him on the monitors. A man who Seth already views as a poor excuse for a Dom, is with a sub in a private room, but what catches his eye is the treatment of the man chained to the St. Andrew's cross. Master Rex has taken things too far, causing him to intervene. What he comes across is something that he wishes he'd stopped earlier, and will change his life forever.
Tyler knows the game, he knows the score. Being paid for the use of his body, he often finds himself in situations he doesn't enjoy but bills need paid. Visiting The Den and being employed by the dirty politician leaves him severely injured and under the care of Master Seth, a man that he is instantly attracted to, and a lawyer Allison English, who his body can't help reacting to.
Allison has been to the club before, swearing she'll never go back regardless of her attraction to owner Master Seth. That is until she gets a call from a friend saying they need her help. She knows Tyler should press charges for what he's been through, but she finds herself dealing with not one but two of the most stubborn yet utterly gorgeous men she's ever met. What happens when the wounds start to heal but the attraction is still there?
Master Seth has had both of these lovely submissives in his home, and he plans to keep them there. One week. They will give him their submission, but Master Seth plans to take so much more...
This is my kind of story, absolutely delicious. The chemistry between Seth and Tyler was burning up the pages. Allie was my least favorite in this ménage but she brought her own positives to the story. The emotions are high, the wounds deep, and the sex on fire. Have I mentioned I loved it? This was more about the emotional aspects of a D/s relationship vs. the physical kink. It's a nice reminder that you need both, and too many books get caught up in toys and accessories. Nice emotional read.
Part of a series but can be read as a stand alone.

Review

****This book was part of a blog tour I was given a copy for my honest review****
Charlie is a gifted art student with an innate sensuality, her past has left her scarred and she can't love but she needs physical contact. This need leads her down a dangerous road with a mysterious madam; at first everything is great until she meets Cameron. Cameron changes Charlie and as the two of them really begin to connect, she discovers horrible secrets at her work that change everything. This book is dark and raw with a razor sharp erotic edge to it. Charlie starts out closed off with her emotions only really shown to people through her artwork, through out the book her hard outer shell begins to crack. I really have no words to accurately describe how wonderful this book is. The first pages draw you in and the rest of the book holds your attention until the very end. I loved this book, it takes a lot of talent and skill to create the detailed scenes this author did without it becoming too much or too little. This book is not one that every person will enjoy or understand, but it should be one that everyone should at least try to read.
