Review 

Eva is the princess of Demons MC and when she is five years old she meets twenty three year old Deuce the soon to be president of the Hell's Horseman. That chance encounter would change both of their lives, making them do things and act ways that they never thought possible. The first pages of this book pull you in with this youthful girl, whose life is filled with violence and yet she still has a sense of innocence and naiveté. Then you are punched in the stomach and thrown into dark places that leave your heart bleeding. Sheehan shows a dark, dangerous world where women/men are used and violence is an everyday occurrence. This life that Eva has always known doesn't really affect her until Deuce does unforgivable things and she slowly starts to break because of the choices she makes after that. No matter what happens, they keep coming together and then falling apart. Undeniable took me on an emotional roller coaster with no safety belt. When things were good it was like the climb to the top, excitement hope and a sense of nervousness. Right when you think that things will be ok, you look over the edge and are plunged into dark twisted thoughts, acts and betrayals. When the book is over you are slightly shaken and a little bit nauseous, but you want to get right back on and experience the ride again. I loved this book, the raw darkness, depravity and unashamed sexuality of the characters paints a grim tale of heartache and pain. The characters acceptance of certain aspects of their lives, the hope, drive and love of the people in the story make this a truly remarkable book.

Kaylee and everyone in her family are telepathic, they can sense the Tai-Kok, aliens who come to earth and literally eat people. When she once again gets herself in trouble, she ends up meeting the voice in her head. Talree is a vampire like alien; his brother betrayed him and teamed up with Tai-Kok. Kaylee frees Talree when she is kidnapped and now they are bound together. Both of them must fight to keep earth and Talrees planet safe from his brother and others who want to conquer the universe. Kaylee is another one of Kogers kick as heroines; she is sarcastic and kicks butt. She also happens to be a trouble magnet, anything and everything that can go wrong seems to happen to her. Talree is a strong warlord, who has some series alpha male protection issues. This is another fast paced action pact book, with lots of humor and sex thrown in the mix. I loved this book; Koger has a way of describing the different worlds and people in them in a way that is humorous and scary at the same time. The sex scenes were weird and down right funny, it is a good kind of weird. The scenes are not awkward weird, more they are a different species so their anatomy is weird. I loved this book and can't wait to read the next one in the series.

Diana was finally able to escape an abusive relationship, but she has to live a life on the run. Her ex is a cop and anytime she gets comfortable he comes after her and hurts the people around her. She finally settles down in a small southern town with a job at a security firm. Her boss Garret knows about her past and he still wants her. When things start happening and she says she needs to leave, he decides to try and convince her to stay and help her finally confront her stalker. Diana is a strong woman, she survived years of abuse and got away when she could. While she constantly has to leave places, she still tries to make the lives of people around her better. Garret is a strong man and he is part of a network that helps women and children get away from abusive situations. He likes Diana and wants to help her, whether she decides to have a relationship with him or not. I really respected Diana, she had a rough life yet she still had hope. The story was interesting and the added twist and intriguing thrown in really surprised me. I couldn't put this book down, from the first page the last, it was wonderful.

When I look at other reviews for Snacks and Seduction I think, what is wrong with me?I should of taken the warning seriously.

First half of this book, I laughed my arse off, literally, laugh out loud, to the point my husband was looking at me as if I belong in the looney bin and he was going to be the one to cart me there. I loved the characters the plotline was not the norm and everything was flowing along just fine.
Second half of this book, it just became not funny. Who can explain why one minute something's funny and then next minute not? Not I.
I can say it started to wear me down, I started to get annoyed that no one ever said anything series to anybody and even Gavin became not so cute. I needed just a moment of serious, so that everybody would seem a bit more real.

So this one became just a so- so read for me because of that.

  Sophia is a geneticist whose sister was attacked by a werewolf, so she decides to find a cure. When she finally isolates the gene she ends up accidentally injecting herself with two animals. She doesn’t tell anyone but everyone finds out when she goes into heat. Chase has wanted Sophie a long time and now that she is in heat he decides to make his move. Someone knows what Sophie has discovered and wants her research, now Chase has to protect Sophie and decide if he wants her as his mate. Sophie is a funny woman, she is clumsy, giving and has some self esteem issues. Chase is an alpha womanizer, he wants Sophia and he protects her when needed. This was a cute story with some suspense thrown in to shake things up. I liked the quirkiness of the heroine and the protectiveness of the hero. The sex scenes were hot and the mystery of who was behind the attempt to steal Sophia’s research added an extra conflict to the story. My only problem is that I wanted the story to be longer. I wanted more background on the characters and to see their life a little bit after their problem is solved. Other than that I really enjoyed the book.

REVIEW

Wow, another great story in this series. Once again Aleatha Romig has kept my mind reeling with all the different possibilities. Even though I believed I understood where things were at the end of this book, it has be brought to my attention that what I took as a forgone conclusion might actually once again be a wonderful mislead by this fabulously tricky author.
As much as I hated certain character  at the end of the previous book and  thought I would never ever change my opinion , how could I when his crimes were so heinous? I must admit (shamefully) that by the end of this story I was seriously seeing a different side to the much hated Tony. But do I believe it??

Hahaha that is what is so magic about this book!! Who is the good guy?? Who is the bad guy?? I swear my head is spinning round like the chick from Exorcist at how quickly things can change in this wonderfully laid out story.
I found this one also to be much better paced. I wasn't skipping things, even though after thinking about the previous book more, I believe the way it was paced was important and on purpose.
So many wonderful twists and now I have to wait another year before I get any sort of real answers, ahhh so frustrating.

A highly addictive series that will keep you guessing and changing your mind up until the last page, well done again Aleatha Romig, you are awesome!!

Deep breaths! Fluffy bunnies, chocolates and a bottle of whiskey are sure to help me get over this book.
Hold on to your hats, this book is a crazy mix of a wild ride and driving miss daisy.

It was slow; too much useless descriptions that just made it drag out. But I believe the author meant it to be that way to illustrate how awful Claire had it, in her downward spiral from normal to battered housewife, but it was too much, I started skipping bits and I never do that.
But in saying that it built this slow growing level of anxiety, like watching a train wreck I couldn't stop reading. I wanted to reach into the book and get Claire out of there, slap her (but she had a bit too much of that), Anthony really did a number on her.
The whole way through the book you get snippets and clues that sort of don't lead anywhere, you get inklings, and you know he is a bad guy, but then you think maybe he is just screwed up.

 Bad upbringing, like a Christian Grey but on steroids, you know? You find yourself questioning everything. What is Anthony up too?? What are all these two page bits with Nathaniel? Is that his dad? No, it's okay, he married her, he must have some feelings there, and then… oh my god did he just ………..?? God, did he kill……?? Oh god, has he arranged for her brother in law to………..?? What the f*#k???
Anthony is no hero; he is a bad, bad, bad man!! For those who started this under the misunderstanding that this was going to end up like.... say Kitty Thomas's Comfort Food, then you are wrong!!! He beats her, rapes her,(this is within the first few pages so no spoiler) Claire lives under constant fear and he slowly lures her into trusting him, then bam!!! He is the classic wife beating husband that we all hear about!

The ending…. the arrest, the destruction. You find out what it's all for and it's like “OH MY GOD!!!! Where is the justice in that??"

Althea Romig, you wrote a book that I couldn't put down, that made me feel a multitude of emotions (rage primarily at the end, but also fear, anxiety) but for the love of god I couldn't tell you if I enjoyed it. How do I rate something like this??

 I guess I have to put it down to the fact that I couldn't stop reading; I needed to know what was happening, I was totally under this books spell, fully engaged. Isn't that the sign of a good book?? Doesn't matter if the character repulsed me, that his mind trips, was screwing  with me, it was an amazing wild ride. So because of that I have rated this highly.

This book will drive you crazy; it will frustrate the hell out of you. But it is extremely well written and the author is on to something amazing if she can continue this mystery going at this level.

I read it, now for gods sake somebody please recommend me something light and fluffy with lots of good sex and maybe a bit of humor, I need it!

Switched is the first book in the Trylle Trilogy, it follows a young girl named Wendy who is really a changeling. All her life Wendy has been different than any one else, when she was six her mother was convinced that she wasn’t her real child so she tries to kill Wendy. When Wendy is seventeen a boy named Finn shows up and tells her that she was really was switched at birth and that she needs to go back to her real home. Wendy goes with Finn after being attacked, she goes with Finn and finds out she is royalty. Wendy doesn’t feel like she fits in at her new home either and there are people who are trying to keep her from becoming queen. Her love for Finn is forbidden but she is willing to give up anything to be with him. While Wendy is trying to figure out where she fits into this new world or if she even wants to be there, new threats arrive and change everything for her. I loved this book Wendy was smart and snarky, she wanted to change things and she didn't follow people blindly. Finn was a bit annoying, Wendy is trying to change things and he hanging on to old beliefs. This book was one of the better first books in a series that I have read. The characters were well rounded and the story really pulls you in from the beginning. I wanted to know what happened to the characters and I was mad because I didn't want the book to end.

 Perfect mate is the first book in Mina Carters new Mate series, the army has created vampires, werewolves and zombies and now the wolves want there freedom. Lillian lives for her job as a psychiatrist and one day a man is brought into her facility with what looks like life threatening wounds. When she goes into check on him and is almost raped by one of the armies’ doctors she finds out that the man is not just a man but an alpha werewolf. He saves her then he lets the rest of his wolves free and the army sends in zombies and other men to kill them. The patient Jack knows that Lilly is his mate and he has to get her and the rest of his pack free from the hospital and find a way to save them from the government that created them and now wants to destroy them. Jack is a hot bad ass protector who takes charge and knows what needs to be done. Lilly is smart and cares for her patients but I think there she should be in the hospital and not working at the hospital. I really wanted to like this book, the description caught me right away, the book is well written and the idea of the government creating supernaturals was intriguing. The hero is hot and the secondary characters are funny and know how to kick butt. The vampire that is leading the team after them provides a nice challenge. But I just couldn't get over the fact that the heroine spent the entire time thinking about how hot the hero was and how much she wanted him. It's a romance so yes the main characters are supposed to want each other, however, the heroine is not supposed to be ready to die and start talking about the hero butt. There were so many times that Lilly started going on about Jacks body, how hot he was and what she wanted to do to him, that I just wanted to yell at her hey look around you may be dying at any second. While the premise was good and I did like most of the characters, I just couldn't get past the inappropriate timing of the comments from the heroine.

Charity Rising is the conclusion to Charity and Levis love story. Charity is the alpha female of the pack, she is worrying that Levi will have to take another wife if she doesn’t get pregnant and have a boy. She is trying to keep the packs secret and for some reason Levi is acting weird. When Levis connection symbol turns black and everyone thinks Charity cheated on Levi, Charity has to find out what is going or they both will die. Charity is very different in this story than she was in the last, she has lost a lot of the hard edge that surround her. Levi is harder though, he is the pack alpha so he has had to make hard decisions and you can see how it is affecting him.

I get that Charity didn't know the Levi had a twin, but when his identity is revealed she still can’t tell them apart. Come on if I were Levi I would be super pissed that my wife just flashed herself in lingerie to my brother because she thought it was me. Spoiler ended<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<


I liked how the series ended I thought it was very appropriate, even though I did have a problem with certain parts of the book I still loved it. Once again Kinney creates a vivid and realistic world with just enough conflict to keep the reader interested. I am sad to see the end of Charity and Levi, but I think that the ending was done wonderfully.

Morgan is a vampire princess who is sent to Jace the werewolf alpha, in hopes of uniting the two species so that they can defeat the demons and the close the door to hell. When they meet, both of them realize that their mating will be in more than name only. Morgan is a good combination of innocence and knowledge. She stands up for what she believes in and fights hard for the people she loves. Jace is a hot alpha werewolf who has a past filled with violence. He has watched and protected Morgan for years without her knowing it. He is willing to go to hell itself to keep her safe. This novella while short was a good story. Things were a bit rushed and I wish it could have been a full length novel, because I loved wanted to see more of the main characters. Eden has a way of describing the fight scenes that make me feel as if I am in the middle of it. She made me see the sprays of blood and I could smell the brimstone. The romance was fast and intense, I wanted the couple to work out. When I heard how Jace had protected Morgan my heart melted. I liked this novella and the only thing that could make this story better would be to make it a full length book

Review

First of all, I would just like to thank the cover artist of this book because to be honest , that gorgeous front cover is what drew me to read this book. It is irresistible.
This was an interesting, sexy story. Sean uses his skills as a Dom to get close to Grace. Manipulating her to get the information he is after.This leads to some very steamy scenes. It didn't, however, feel like it took over the book.
Unfortunately this story was really slow going for me for the first 50%. I couldn't connect to the characters, so couldn't get into the book or sympathise with anything. However about halfway through things, got a bit more interesting and I found myself settling in and enjoying the action.
There is humour to this story, so it's not all suspense, action and heavy emotion a nice reprieve from some of the books I am read lately.
It was a bit sexy, I find I really would like to visit Club Sanctum. The supporting characters of this group were really great and as a result I cannot wait to see more of them in future books.

All I wanted was to be a normal, ordinary girl whose biggest worry was what to wear to her twenty-first birthday party. I needed for a few hours to forget about my mother’s murder and the monsters that inhabit the night. With all my heart I wished for a little romance, for a man who could make me forget the bloodshed and death. I longed for a prince charming who would sweep me off my feet and kiss me under the stars. Then fate kicked me in the teeth and granted my wish.
My perfect prince charming turned out to be a vampire.

Bunny was supposed to be a hunter but on her twenty-first birthday she gets drunk and gives her virginity and power to master vamp Ian McGregor, so she blows up his cars. She keeps blowing up his cars and he keeps hunting her. Bunny is part of a prophecy that she does not know about, but everyone else sure does. Now there are master vampires after her, zombie like creatures, a crime boss and her crazy dysfunctional family to deal with. Bunny was a kick ass heroine; she was sarcastic and always managed to get herself into trouble. Most of the time it’s her fault, but sometimes stuff just kinda happens to her. I loved this book, it was fast paced and it didn't slow down one bit. The writing was great; the scenes were descriptive, colorful and full of humor. Gotta love a scene with a drunken nun type vampire, a vampire hunter and a policeman apologizing to his superiors for throwing said vampire in a trash can, which he didn't really do, while the vampire has maggots in her hair. My only complaint is I really wanted the book to be longer, I really would have liked to see Bunny and her first interaction with Ian not just be told about it. Beyond that loved the book and recommend it to anybody looking for a fast paced humorous read.

 Review

Great start to a new series!
This book was a total winner for me. I love any story with a Fae theme and this one was packed full of it with leprechauns, vampires, seelie, unseelie, various courts (gray, white and black), definitely enough to keep my attention.
Mix all those in with a good storyline and a steamy hot couple and you have a pretty enjoyable book.
I really like Leo and Ruby although I would of liked to have found out a bit more about her background, especially why she thought she was so unworthy.
This was a short story though and usually you miss out on huge details not necessary to the plot. There was still a lot of information packed in there but not overmuch, really it was just right.
There was definitely enough to make me interested in finding out more, so a job well done in my book.
Can't wait for the next one with Duncan, Jaden and Moira, it promises to be a delicious little tale.

This truly was a romance novel of a different calibre. I don't believe I have ever come across a tortured hero quite like Ian Mackenzie. Truly tortured, you will have never met an hero like him.
Imagine what it was like back in the 1800's being born with some sort of high functioning autism.
Poor man, ice baths, beatings and electric shocks, what a nightmare. His own brother rescues him from the nightmare after there dad the duke dies,thank goodness, but he still believes himself truly mad and distrusts himself always.
Beth, a wonderful, genuine, caring, heroine seems to understand him as no other does, even his own family.
I do not think of him as Lord Ian Mackenzie, aristocratic brother of a duke and well beyond my reach; not as the Mad Mackenzie, an eccentric people stare at and whisper about.
To me, he is simply Ian.”
This review is going to dissolve in to a gush of feelings, but isn't that in itself a huge compliment? For a book to affect you so? I am not going to be able to do this book any justice going on and on about it, you seriously just have to read it.
Let's just say I fell in love with Lord Ian Mackenzie and his Beth. I felt such happiness knowing that he had found her and with her some comfort and happiness unlike he had never had before. If there ever was a man who deserved it, it's Ian.
This is simply historical romance at its best!
His story is emotional, mental illness is a difficult and misunderstood condition today,let alone in the 1800's. I think Jennifer Ashley did a fantastic job portraying Asperger's Syndrome in Ian, she made it really realistic.
Great read, with great characters and a very different storyline.
I will definitely be continuing this series. I am eager to read of his other brothers Hart, Cameron and Mac

I know in my previous review I noted that I think young adult is for 16+, I still believe that and I am really happy to see that it was noted on the book, I just had not seen it. Ok now onto Blood Past the second book in the Warriors of Ankh trilogy, I loved it just as much as the first book. There are many new and interesting characters introduced in this book as well as several new threats to Eden. At the beginning of the book Eden is still a soul eater and she while she know she can trust the Ankh she still does not feel like she can.Eden loves Cyrus and she is very close to Valeria, but she is still mad at Noah for lying to her and she feels like he has betrayed her. They go to Scotland and we meet Eden’s mothers Neith family. The grandmother gives blood and Eden gets it transfused into her and then she starts changing to full Ankh. She has to die to do this and this is the first time that we really see how much Noah loves Eden.Eden wakes up and starts adjusting to her new status as an Ankh. She becomes friends with Tobe and starts to learn how to fight. She is still mad at Noah and trying to get over Romany killing Stellan. Then Noah and Eden’s grandmother get kidnapped by Eden’s cousin and they fly back to the states. Her cousin gives her the choice of killing Mhairi or Noah; she doesn't have to make the decision because Darius shows up and kills all the soul eaters. You got to give Samantha Young some series kudos, she knows how to write. The characters are again very believable and have a lot of depth and personality. Emotions are higher in this book than the last one and we get more romance but it does not over power the story. The book is not just a copy of the previous book with a few new problems thrown in; Eden and Noah have grown a lot and changed. An old problem gets resolved but since its not the focus of the book it does not seem repetitive. New problems keep it fresh and unpredictable. I love the book; anybody looking for a good solid read should pick this book up.

Review

 First of all my opinion of what a young adult book and what other people think a young adult book is, is totally different. I think a young adult novel is for people 16+ maybe 15 depending on their emotional maturity level. So yes I believe that this book is a young adult book, even with the prologue describing the naked tortured woman, the screams that Eden continually hears from her fathers and cousins "play room" and the graphic descriptions in the fight scenes. Ok that being said I loved this book, yes I know after listing those things is sounds twisted, but this book was really well written. I loved how Young spent a lot of time describing the feelings of all the characters. She didn't make any of them perfect, the flaws she gave the characters made the story better. There was none of the boy meets girl and falls in love and the girl doesn't know why but she just can't live without the boy. No Eden and Noah are friends and when she finds out that he lied to her she gets pissed. She doesn't forgive him because he says he is sorry and was doing it for her own good. No she says frick you, leave me alone. Even though she is mad at Noah she still does not kill him, but its more her fighting her nature than actually forgiving him for what he did. I can't wait to read the next book to find out what happens next.
