In a world where vampires have been forced into roles of servitude Nicole has grown up in a wealthy home where her nanny, cook, gardener, and many other roles in her household. No one saw it coming when the vampires rebelled, leaving Nicole almost completely alone and with more scars than what shows on the outside.
Riker is part of clan MoonBound, and has a deep hatred for the Martins. His mate Terese, was their nanny and one of the lives lost the day of the rebellion. He blames the Martins for breaking her long before that day.
To get back what was taken from them, and to avoid war between another clan, Riker kidnaps Nicole to get it back. Her family's company, Daedalus, is the one who has what he's after. But what happens when things are nothing like they seem? And two people that hate each other start seeing the other side of things.
There is so much action in this book, it will hold your attention from page 1 to the very last line. Nicole I was back and forth about but I ended up enjoying her character. Riker was a sexy bad boy that bites. Really, what more could a girl ask for? The supporting characters were awesome and I'm very much looking forward to the other books in this series! Myne and Hunter have a lot to tell I'm sure.
