Review

****Kensington Books through NetGalley provided me with a copy of this book for my honest review****
Emma Hart was in Oklahoma with 2 missions, to find her sister Becca a new man to let her hair down with and to get her the dream job she secretly submitted her resume for at OSU. She soon discovered the $10 rode tickets were the best investment she'd made on the trip as they meet not one but two hot cowboys, Tucker Jenkins and Jace. While things with Jace don't turn out as Emma had hoped, a year later Emma finds herself at her baby sister's rehearsal dinner and the maid of honor for the big event the next day. However, running into Jace again is the least of her problems like she originally
thought. Enter Lieutenant Colonel Logan Hunt, the groom's boss, surrogate older brother and best friend, and this city girl's about to be thrown into a future she never saw coming via a sexy military man.
I've read a lot of Cat Johnson's books, so when I saw this one available on NetGalley I had to request it. The author has a way of making you fall in love with her characters. Emma and Logan were so realistic you could pick them off the pages and put them into your life. The side character development was not lacking and set things up for the rest of the series, making you ready to start the next one. The romance wasn't fairy tale but was very sweet and heart felt. The heroine wasn't afraid to kick ass, even while showing her vulnerabilities. I also have a soft spot for cowboys so this one was perfect!

One Night With A Cowboy 18+

The following review is for 18+ readers.
3 of 5 stars false
One Sweet Ride...
Oh yeah. A single look at the leggy blonde in the stands and Tucker Jenkins is ready to buck all night long. It's time to forget all about his cheating ex and his usual hands off policy.
One Hot Night...
Becca Hart is an East Coast professor. Not a buckle bunny. But no degree can prepare her for the moves of the sexy bull rider she hooks up with at her first rodeo...or the shock of finding him at her first Oklahoma State University staff meeting.

One Happy Ending...
Tuck knows it's all about holding on, no matter how wild the ride. Now he just has to convince Becca that a rough start out of the chute doesn't mean they aren't a smokin' combination...

Review

****NetGalley provided me with a copy of this book for my honest review****

Becca has a really bad day; she gets fired because of budget cuts and comes home to find her boyfriend moving out. She can't find another job, she goes to her sisters’ apartment and while in the bathroom her sister submits her resume to a college in Oklahoma. Becca gets called for an interview and her sister decides that while there they need to go to a rodeo. At rodeo Becca meets Tuck, they have a one night stand and neither one of them can forget about it. Becca takes a job at the university and they meet again at a party being thrown for Becca. Becca and Tuck start a relationship that has to be kept secret since both of them work for the university and there is a no fraternization rule. They have to decide what they are willing to risk to be together and if their relationship is worth fighting for. Becca is pretty, smart and introverted, she loves her job and does not want to do anything to jeopardize it. Tuck is a mans man, he is in the army, rides bull and drives a truck. He wants to be with Becca but he doesn't want her to get fired. This book was sweet love story, it wasn't deeply emotional but it did have a nice interesting plotline. It showed a few things that some men are willing to sacrifice to keep a woman. Parts of the book were a bit disjointed and didn't really fit together; it seemed to jump around a little. Overall this was a nice quick read without a lot of drama, I liked the characters and plot line, and I want to know what happens with the other characters so I will be reading the next book in the series.
