Taming Johnny 18+

The following review is for 18+ readers.

Taming Johnny
 3 of 5 stars false1/2
He's got the temperament of a lion, and she's just the one to tame him.
Police records clerk Emma Beaumont has always played it safe, never taking many risks. Quiet, shy, and a little overweight, she's convinced herself that she's comfortable with the way her life is. That is until she lays eyes on incredibly sexy Lieutenant Johnny Street. But she's never met anyone with such a terrible attitude. He's a jerk. Everyone thinks so.
Little by little, Emma is forced to uncover a stronger, spunkier part of herself, one that isn't afraid to stand up to him. As she gets to know him, she starts seeing glimpses of a very different man. A man who has known great heartache, and as it turns out, has good reason for embracing such bitterness. Behind his sharp tongue and harsh demeanor, lies a young man who's desperately afraid of losing what's left of himself.
As Emma's intense desire for Johnny turns to love, she will have to ask herself how far she'll go to chip away at his frosty heart. And at what cost.

****I recieved an ARC copy of this for my honest review, I reviewed this book on content only.****
"He's got the temperament of a lion, and she's just the one to tame him."
Lieutenant Johnny Street; the office grump, always harsh and wearing a continuous scowl. He's been hurt, put through more than his fair share of heartbreak and received enough hard blows to keep anyone down. But no one see's that side of him, no one knows why he is the way he is and that's just the way he likes it. Emma Beaumont, a sweet and self conscious records clerk works at the same police station and has had her eye on Street from day 1. The only problem? Street has never acknowledged her. So what happens when our cantankerous police man finally has had enough of starting at the unknowingly gorgeous Emma? Add a perfect timed storm, and outside circumstances, and we go on a journey of heartbreak and healing.
This book is a romance that will twist your insides. We meet great characters that make you scream at them the entire way. This book would have been a 4 star rating for me had it not been so short, giving it a rushed feeling. Still, another great one for the romance reader's to be read shelf! I'm hoping for more from this author in the future.
