Review

****This book was part of a blog tour I received a copy for my honest review****
Travis is only nineteen he had to drop out of high school to work so him and his mother would not be evicted. He hates his job and spends his nights with one girl after another; he finds the teen program at the fire station meets a good girl and falls in love. He refuses to tell her the truth about things because he believes she won't love him back, things go from bad to worse. Can Travis find a way to make his situation better, will he come clean to the girl he loves or will lose the first really good thing in his life? I loved this book, Travis is such a great character his problems are real and heartbreaking. He takes on so much to make sure his mother and him have a place to stay, but no matter how much he works he just can't keep up. He is ashamed of his situation, it's so sad how hard this guys life is. The passion he discovers and his goals of wanting to be a firefighter were admirable and I loved his reasoning behind it. The romance in this book was not focused on the physical but more on the emotional connection between two people. Girls Love Travis Walker is a fast read with amazing characters that show you how strong some people can be.
