Archangel's Consort 18+

The following review is for 18+ readers
Archangel's Consort (Guild Hunter, #3)
 5 of 5 stars false

Vampire hunter Elena Deveraux and her lover, the lethally beautiful archangel Raphael, have returned home to New York only to face an uncompromising new evil…

A vampire has attacked a girls’ school—the assault one of sheer, vicious madness—and it is only the first act. Rampant bloodlust takes vampire after vampire, threatening to make the streets run with blood. Then Raphael himself begins to show signs of an uncontrolled rage, as inexplicable storms darken the city skyline and the earth itself shudders.

The omens are suddenly terrifyingly clear.

An ancient and malevolent immortal is rising. The violent winds whisper her name: Caliane. She has returned to reclaim her son, Raphael. Only one thing stands in her way: Elena, the consort who must be destroyed

Review

The third book in the Guild Hunters series has Ellie and Raphael back in New York after the devastation in China. Vampires and angels are acting weird, the weather out of control and something is haunting Raphael. Ellie finds out that these things all occur when an ancient awakens, Raphael fears that it may be his mother. They begin looking for her resting place, hopefully she awakes sane. If not then Raphael will have to kill his mother and Elena is worried about the toll it will take on him. Ellie has a changed very little in this book; she does seem to be settling down a little bit. Raphael is tenser; he reveals more of his past and what his mother was like. Once again Singh delivers a great book, the sex scenes in this book are the hottest ever. The storyline is entertaining; we get to see many old friends and enemies in this book as well. This book had more action than the second one, but the scenes did not seem as graphic. I can't wait for the next story in the Guild Hunters series.

  1. I love this series (especially the first 4-5 books). You get to read about Dimitri next! Oh so good. Have you read the novellas?
