Katie Warren needs a break. While on a much needed vacation, she visits the art gallery of one of her favorite artists, Marcus Dane, only to run into the man while there. Add his lover Owen Foster and Katie's in for a vacation she will surely remember.
I'm a little disappointed by this book. It was good but it lacked something for me. I am a complete sucker for M/M/F and was extremely excited, but I just didn't love it or the characters. It is a very sexy short read though, filled with steamy sex and a surprising connection between the characters. I will say that most of my reviews of short books I rant and rave about things being rushed, but I didn't feel that with this one, the delivery was well done.

Super short read.
Mia is a stripper and has a favourite customer. When instead of showing interest, offers her a job in Italy for two weeks, she is unsure of what will be required of her.
Is she a convenient escort? Despite her insecurities a relationship of sorts starts.
I think this book was a little too short for me. Not enough time elapsed for me to get the flow for the relationship, characters or storyline..it was quite rushed. I did like the idea of the story, very pretty woman, and that is always good. I just think this needed more story injected into it. The explicit sex was also not as steamy as I was anticipating, maybe I am just getting jaded after all the sexy books I read :( Also editing wise, there were missing words, usually I am not a stickler for that sort of thing, but it happened a few times.
Unfortunately this one just didn't quite meet my needs this time, but I do believe this mostly has to do with the length of the book.

 A choice between two men? If only it were that simple. Melissa Morgan seems to have it all…her modeling career is taking off and she's engaged to one of the most eligible bachelors in London. Melissa has a cheating alcoholic fiancé. He swore things would change when they got engaged...but they have not. Unfortunately he keeps her in a life that suits her, being a very wealthy man. After cheating on her again Melissa decides what's good for the goose is good for the gander and has a one night stand with a delicious bar owner. What she doesn't bargain on is falling for Riley. Now she has to choose between her heart and her envisioned life.
This book is super short at about 70ish pages. The problem with stories of this length is that it is incredibly hard to develop a character like Melissa and make your readers believe that she is redeemable, because you have so little time to do it in. Unfortunately that is what happened here for me. Everything was so rushed that all I could see was Melissa and her selfish choices and I just couldn't understand her, nor did I want to . I think this story could be a good one and you could get Melissa to that stage if the book was fleshed out more. As it is I was just grasping at straws. With a little more editing and a more time spent on the background story this one could be a winner.

This is my kind of story, absolutely delicious. The chemistry between Seth and Tyler was burning up the pages. Allie was my least favorite in this ménage but she brought her own positives to the story. The emotions are high, the wounds deep, and the sex on fire. Have I mentioned I loved it? This was more about the emotional aspects of a D/s relationship vs. the physical kink. It's a nice reminder that you need both, and too many books get caught up in toys and accessories. Nice emotional read.
Part of a series but can be read as a stand alone.

****Sourcebooks Casablanca through NetGalley gave me an ARC of this book for my honest review**** 
Torment never knew what he was getting into when Makayla walks through his door, but she has his attention immediately. It just so happens to be his lucky day when he needs a medic for the fighters and Makayla can't believe she let her friend talk her into working at the underground fight club. All that is forgotten when she sees the owner, Torment. Tattooed, built, and totally alpha she decides the scenery is worth being out of her comfort zone. But this tough guy has a whole other life that no one knows about...
There wasn't much I didn't love about this book. Sexy alpha male with a tough streak a mile wide, funny but naïve heroine that gives the hero crap and gets sick at the sight of blood but takes a job as a medic for an underground fighting ring? Priceless. This book is witty, sarcastic, sexy as sin, drama packed, suspenseful, and pushes the edges at times. There are times where you hate the characters and other times where you are in love with them. More by this author please!

I don't believe I need to do a recap of this book, the blurb has done such a lovely and thorough job and to say anymore would be to spoil the book.
Mystery- thrillers or Suspense- thrillers are not usually my thing. I like my books to be liberally dosed with romance, but every now and again it is good to try something different.
Aberration is one of the best of its kind that I have read. It was addictive, with wonderfully descriptive writing, and a interesting plot. Although I have to admit to knowing who the killer was earlier on, it did not detract from the story at all, or the suspense of it. You are left to figure out why? That was a bit more fun that your usual who did it type book.
The two pov's,one of Kassidy and the other the serial killer were both very good, but I must admit to enjoying the inner workings of the serial killers mind better. (Weird, maybe?)
If you do not have the stomach for gory reads or descriptive crime scenes, then maybe this book won't be for you, it is definitely detailed *shudders*.
Although this is not usually my thing I have to say I really enjoyed this read, and by enjoy I mean, I now sleep with the night light on and may need another year between this book and another of its genre, it was that intense. A book that affects you though is always a book that is worth the effort, yes? If thrillers are your thing... then give this author a go, I guarantee you it will get your heart pumping and give you creepy "who's watching me" goosebumps.

Gregori is a bad ass artist; he only shows people his public persona and doesn't get close to women. Wren is an art student working as a bike messenger; she has wanted Gregori for a while and is ready to make her move. One night isn't enough for either of them can Wren show Gregori that things can be different with her, will Gregori realize that he needs Wren or will they both end up broken? I really liked this one; it was a quick steamy read with a hot hero and a take charge heroine who pushed for what she wanted. There was a storyline and reason why the two characters were together, it wasn't all about the bedroom games. There were plenty of sex scenes that were detailed without being crude or sounding clinical. Lauren Dane has created another great entertaining piece that is just as decadent as the title.

Dee pulled out another notebook from his bag and tossed it to me. "Write the lyrics."
I look at the empty notebook and Dee's tattered one that's full of ideas and marks and don't know where to start. I try not to think about it too much as I grab a pen and write out the music best I can. It's already there, I just have to translate it into something coherent. But, when it comes to the words, I see what Dee's written and it could be a song for me. No wonder he wants me to change it. He wants the song to be from me, instead. My side of the story.
The couch dipped next to me and Dee stuck his head over my shoulder to see what I'm writing. I pressed the notebook into my chest and he tried to snatch it away.
"Hey," I cried. "I like you and all Dee, but stop trying to feel me up."
His lips curved into a sly smile and he knew that I was onto him and for once I don't argue.
"What are we gunna call ourselves?" Frank asked. Before Chris could open his mouth he added, "No ideas accepted form Chris."
"Why not?” he grumbled.
"We're not into Morrissey," Dee laughed.
"I think Empty Hands is a good name for an indie band," I said kindly.
"Thanks, Zoe," Chris smiled and tapped his bottle against mine.
"We're not a pansy mopey indie band," Frank said and beat on his chest. "I want to beat the shit outta those skins, for one. I'm too manly to get in touch with my feminine side."
Dee's watching me with a frown and I realize I've been running a finger along the scar on my arm.
"Tattoo," he said, his eyes meeting mine.
"What?" I jumped and tucked my hands under my legs.
"Tattoo," he said again and I could almost see the light bulb over his head. "The Devil's Tattoo."
As soon as he says it, I knew he wanted to name the band after me. I can't help but wonder who the devil is meant to be. The devil scarred my arm and I covered it with a tattoo.
"Dee," I began to scold him.
"Bloody LOVE IT," Frank shouted, on his feet.
"It's not like that, Zoe," Dee whispered in my ear. "You're my phoenix from the ashes. You're my version of the devil, babe."
It sounded like he was declaring his love for me and in a way he was, but not like that. Dee's my brother. Dee's my family.
I smiled at him. "The Devil's Tattoo."
"All in favor?" Dee asked, but it's already been decided.
"Hell yeah!" everyone shouted, and it's done.

Something horrible happens to Kari. Because of it, she can't move on, she can't make friends, she lives in constant fear. She is desperate, and this desperation leads her to get a job at a tattoo shop called Prick.
This move changes her life. She makes some friends....and more importantly she meets Neil Mars, her bosses son.
This was a quick but worthwhile read. I loved the Kari, I felt for her, but her personality was awesome, really it was. If what happened to her ever happened to my daughter I would just die, the poor girl had the weight of the world on her shoulders all because of the evil skuzz bucket, Eddie. Anyway I digress, this book really drew me in and although it was a bit tense in bits the humour between the characters and her friends and her own inner monologue had me reading this book with an almost constant smile. Neil was a total winner, just the sort of guy you would want after the dreaded Eddie.
Bits of this book seemed a little rushed, I would have loved to have had longer with these characters and maybe a bit more detail. But all in all I am happy that I got the opportunity to read it. This book is the first of this author and also the first in a series. I will be looking forward to reading the next one, because this authors voice is confident and fun.

Interview
I got to meet Jillian at the Los Angeles Author Event in April, it was a few hours into the event and when we went to take pictures she asked us to try to not get her bare feet in the pictures. That's why I asked the first question, I couldn't resist teasing her just a little bit. 

1. Do you always do book signings barefoot?
When I'm writing, I spend a lot of time locked away in a room by myself wearing my Ugg slippers. When I do book signings, I always wear a great pair of heels or some cute boots. And those are not always comfortable, so sometimes I take them off .

2. What are some of the charities that you donate to and why those particular ones?
 When I wrote That Boy, I decided to donate a portion of my royalties to my three favorite charities. Since That Boy's release in May of 2011, I have donated almost $20,000, split between the following charities: The Make-A-Wish Foundation, The Chi Omega Foundation, and the University of Nebraska Foundation.

3. What books are you looking forward to reading most this year?
 Two of them just released and I just read them. The Game Changer by J. Sterling and the final book in The Breathing Series by Rebecca Donovan. I'm looking very forward to book 4 in The Mystic Series by BC Burgess. And I've been downloading my favorite spy novels to read on vacation this August.

4. When you have a hard time writing a scene what do you do?
I stop trying to write it and work on a different scene. I write scenes out of order then piece a book together.

5. Your next book Love Me comes out tomorrow, are you anxious to see what people will say about it?
Love Me is very different than the rest of the books in the series. With the exception of some drama, some stalker scares, and a little heartbreak, the series has been pretty upbeat. Pretty happy and fun. And while so many of the readers are all about the cute boys in the series, the series is really about Keatyn. About her growing into herself and, most importantly, loving herself. Book 4 is tough for Keatyn, was very emotional for me to write, and will probably be tough on fans. Especially those that have their hearts set on her being with a certain boy! But I hope they will enjoy the ride.

6. What is you favorite sweets to eat when you are having a bad day?
 My favorite candy is Bakers Milk Chocolate Mint Meltaways. When I was little, my grandparents lived next door to me. My grandpa always kept a box of Bavarian mints in his top dresser drawer. And every once in a while, he'd let me sneak a piece. Actually, he usually let me take two. One for me and one to take home to my little brother. (I'm pretty sure that second piece NEVER made it home to him!) Bakers Chocolates are made from scratch in Greenwood, NE, a small town between Omaha and Lincoln. They are amazing and always make me feel better.
